The short version: L-Plate Academy is a study aid, not an official test and not a guarantee of passing. You buy it once. Nothing here takes away your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Who we are
L-Plate Academy (ABN 14 135 653 293) publishes the L-Plate Academy app and this website. Contact us at support@lplate-academy.com. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.
What the app is — and what it is not
L-Plate Academy helps you prepare for an Australian learner driver knowledge test (Class C / car) with practice questions, explanations and mock tests modelled on your state or territory's real test format.
It is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any Australian state or territory road authority. It is not the official test, and passing in the app does not mean you will pass the real one.
Road rules change. Your road authority's own handbook and question bank are always the authority — every guide in the app links to the one for your state.
Nothing in the app is legal advice.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. We do not ask you to create a password. You are responsible for keeping access to the Apple or Google account you sign in with, because that is how we recognise you.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or via our delete-account page.
Your purchase
The app is free to download and includes a free preview. Unlocking the full question bank is a single one-off payment — there is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us. Their terms apply to the transaction.
- Your unlock is tied to the account you were signed in to when you bought it. Sign in with that same account on another device and it follows you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. If something has gone wrong, contact us as well — we would rather fix it.
Acceptable use
The app is licensed to you for personal study. Please do not copy, scrape, redistribute, resell or republish the question bank, explanations or guides, or try to extract them from the app. Do not attempt to access paid content without buying it.
Content and ownership
The app, its design, its explanations and its illustrations belong to us, except where stated below.

Availability and changes
We may update, change or withdraw parts of the app, including questions and guides, as road rules and official sources change. We try to keep the service running but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
If we change these terms materially we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Where the law permits us to limit our liability, and to the extent it does, our liability to you is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
To be plain about the main one: we are not responsible for the outcome of your real knowledge test, or for anything that follows from it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
