How the Learner’s Theory Test is marked

The test is marked in two parts, and each one has its own minimum. You need 40 of 50 correct in total. The mock test in the app uses the same structure, so nothing on the day is a surprise.

  • Part 1 · Give way

    Needs 8 of 8

    Every question
  • Part 2 · Road rules and safe driving

    Needs 32 of 42

Some sections here leave no margin. Where a section says every question, one wrong answer ends the test. That is how the test is marked, not something we have added. Better to know now than on the day — the mock in the app marks those sections the same way, so you will have met them before you walk in.
